Admission requirements

  • All those with a second cycle degree related to the competition area 10/B1 – Art History can apply
  • Foreign candidates must be proficient in Italian (native speaker or certified B2 level)

Documents required for evaluation purposes

  • Curriculum vitae containing a statement of the qualification held and the name of the awarding institution, as well as a list of publications, if any
  • Research project (max 5 pages, including references)
  • Second cycle degree (under the old university system/ specialistica/magistrale) thesis.  Equivalent foreign degrees must translated into Italian, English, or French and saved as a  queryable .pdf file.

The suitability of the foreign qualification (translation into Italian, English or French is mandatory) is ascertained by the Admissions Board in compliance with the relevant regulations in force and international agreements on the recognition of qualifications for the continuation of studies.

Applicants who have been awarded (or will be awarded by October 31 of the year of publication of the call for applications) a degree from an Italian university must specify in their CV all data on their university programme and admission requirements, in particular:

  • University awarding the degree
  • type of degree – second cycle degree under the old university sytem, specialistica or magistrale
  • name of the degree programme
  • list of exams with corresponding marks
  • date of graduation and final mark or expected date of graduation (by October 31 of the year of publication of the announcement).

Applicants who have obtained (or will obtain by October 31 of the year of publication of the announcement) the foreign academic degree (of at least four years’ duration) must specify in the curriculum:

  • University awarding the degree
  • type of degree (at least a four-year programme) – Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s degree
  • date of awarding and final mark or expected date of completion (by October 31, 2023)

Applicants with foreign qualifications must also submit online:

  • a transcript – degree certificate with a list of exams and marks – with the translation into Italian or English
  • Diploma supplement (if any)

 

Selection procedure

  • Evaluation of qualifications and the research project
  • Written test
  • Interview (including the language test)
